About
Hello, my name is Lory, and I am delighted to welcome you to my therapeutic practice. My journey to becoming a therapist is rooted in a deep curiosity about psychology and a rich background in the performing arts. Initially drawn to the idea of becoming a drama therapist, I found myself on an extraordinary path that led me to where I am today. My experiences in the arts have greatly influenced my therapeutic approach, emphasizing the importance of creativity, expression, and human connection.
I have always been fascinated by the complexities of life and the unique ways each person experiences it. As a therapist, I have had the privilege of learning and acquiring tools that can be invaluable when navigating this wonderful, yet often complicated, journey called life. I firmly believe that everyone deserves to live their life in a way that aligns with their personal values and within the bounds of morality. My goal is to help you overcome any issues that may be hindering your quality of life.
One of the most rewarding aspects of my work is the mutual exchange of knowledge and wisdom. While I provide guidance and support, I also have the opportunity to learn from each of my clients. This continuous learning process enriches my practice and deepens my understanding of the human experience. There are few careers that offer such a profound and reciprocal relationship, and I am grateful for this unique opportunity.
I am passionate about the power of knowledge and its role in facilitating change. When we are open to learning about ourselves and our environment, we lay the foundation for healthy transformation. My approach is to work collaboratively with you, exploring your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors to gain new insights and foster personal growth. Think of me as your personal journal—a safe space where you can express yourself freely, without judgment.
It is natural to feel scared or nervous about the unknown. In fact, these feelings are a healthy and common part of the human experience. One of the things I can reassure you of, even before we meet, is that seeking therapy is a sign of strength and courage. It demonstrates your willingness to accept yourself and explore your vulnerabilities, which is a crucial step towards healing and self-improvement.
My practice is built on the belief that every individual has the potential to lead a fulfilling and meaningful life. I am here to support you in addressing any challenges you may face, whether they are related to relationships, personal growth, or navigating life's transitions. Together, we will work towards enhancing your well-being and achieving the quality of life you deserve.
Thank you for considering me as your therapist. I am excited to embark on this journey with you, offering my expertise, empathy, and unwavering support. Let us explore the possibilities for positive change and work towards creating a life that is aligned with your true self.
